Satellite Communications or 'Satcoms' is as essential to warfare as bullets and body armour. Armada has recently chronicled the latest developments in tactical satcom for use on the battlefield. This article will discuss the long-distance satellite links connecting deployed headquarters back to national command and control authorities at the strategic level.
