Northrop Grumman has laid the keel for the Virginia class submarine USS California (SSN 781). The eighth-of-class California is scheduled for christening in 2010 and delivery to the US Navy the following year. Northrop Grumman teamed with General Dynamics Electric Boat on the California's construction.rnFaun Trackway has completed the first phase of a contract to supply its heavy Ground Mobility Systems (HGMS) to the Swedish and Swiss militaries under a joint-purchase agreement. Sweden took possession of nine 100-metre-long HGMS units that included the launch/ recovery system and replenishing Spool rack systems in April 2009. Under the agreement a total of 32 HGMS units are to be delivered to each country.

While quite a number of English-Japanese dictionaries of business and legal terms have been publishedin Japan, there seem to be very few Japanese-English dictionaries on the market which give clear explanations of thesubtle differences in meaning between the various English equivalents of terms in such specialized fields.
