Japanese electronic components manufacturers have been stepping up sales promotion activities targeting growing markets, including mobile devices, automobiles, medical and healthcare equipment, industrial equipment, and Internet of Things (IoT) products. Although there are some negative market factors, such as the slowdown of the Chinese economy and slower growth of smartphones, components manufacturers advance the cultivation of the demand for components, primarily new products that feature compact size, thinness, high performance, high reliability and long life, in growing markets. Some components manufacturers have begun to create development boards for sensor devices that can significantly shorten test production and evaluation time in order to grab the budding of new growth at an early stage, while supporting design and development of sensor devices.
