The trends toward smaller and higher-performance electronic devices served as tailwinds of the advancement of connector technologies. Connectors used for internal connection in smartphones and other mobile terminals have been increasingly becoming smaller, lighter and thinner and are made to accommodate higher-speed transmissions. Meanwhile, connectors for automobiles, industrial equipment and communications infrastructure undergo technological developments in terms of accommodating high-speed and large-capacity transmissions, as well as high currents and high withstand voltages. Furthermore, connector manufacturers also advance efforts toward the cultivation of new businesses taking aim at energy-related devices, medical and healthcare-related devices and wearable terminals. They actively promote new product development, meeting needs of existing growth fields and new promising fields.
