摘要

Inflationary pressures across the global agricultural complex haventempered slightly in recent months, in turn alleviating pressures onnthe margins of fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) companies.nHowever, although prices of key raw materials such as palm oil arenbeginning to moderate, most of the FMCG companies in India havenruled out price cuts in their products. Although raw material pricesnhave largely trended lower and will continue to do so over the comingnmonths, they remain at elevated levels compared with the previousnyears. Moreover, the Indian FMCG firms are still largely grapplingnwith the impact of food inflation on their margins, and price cutsnwould clearly not allow them to fully capitalise on the period ofnsoftened raw material prices in the coming months
