As we approach the one-year anniversary of the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005, I offer a few of my personal observations. What they boil down to is that things aren't working out in court the way Washington thought they would. I know this because I spend a good piece of nearly every business day in bankruptcy court on behalf of my bank.
