Rivers Australia has recalled its Doghouse style children's dark-denlm jeans and Doghouse style children's black jeans as the dye used In their manufacture may have contained hazardous azo-colourants. "Expert authorities classify these azo-colourants as carcinogens and recommend that exposure be minimised, the company's' recall notice said. "While this dye stuff is not banned for textile use in Australia, in the interests of customer safety Rivers Australia is recalling these two styles of jeans." Just Jeans has recalled its Junior Girls Skinny Jeans and Junior Boys Denim Shorts because their production may have contained hazardous azo-colourants. Pillow Talk recalled its 50/50 Poly Cotton 225 Thread Count Plain Dye range in red only as the red fabric may contain the chemical p-aminoazobenzene at levels above the acceptable limit.
