International Fibre Centre (IFC) CEO Mr. Joseph Merola has announced that the IFC will support an Industry Associations Consortium (IAC) that will develop and deliver long-term strategic sector specific business outcomes together with innovative learning and development programs that enhance the skills and expertise of the Victorian fibre and textile industry and its workforce.rn"The IFC acknowledges that the fibre and textile industry's associations and company stakeholders have done well in the past to identify and implement effective sector, manufacturer and workforce focussed strategies and initiatives to address specific issues and challenges," said Mr. Merola.rn"However, the looming complex challenges of the future require a comprehensive, robust and whole-of-mdustry approach to effectively contend with evolving consumer demands and increasingly complex and environmentally sustainable manufacturing requirements."
