摘要

The pattern storage model uses recorded daily rainfall data from a group of stations to generate stochastic patterns of rainfall at those stations. Each day of actual data at the group of stations is stored as a "pattern " of rainfall. One station from the group is selected as a main generation station, calibrated to a single site daily rainfall generation model, and then used to generate a long stochastic sequence of daily rainfalls. The multisite generation program then reads each generated daily rainfall at the main generation station, and selects an appropriate pattern from the pattern file to generate preliminary daily rainfalls at all stations. These rainfalls are then progressively adjusted to make the aggregated statistics of monthly and annual rainfalls at all stations match the input data. The system is illustrated with three examples of three, six and 12 rainfall stations in locations from the wet tropics of Queensland to the drier regions of western Victoria. The system could be extended to multisite generation of hourly rainfalls if required. The system software is available without cost by email request to the author.
