In May I was delighted to be part of the inaugural, and very successful, AIRAH 'Ammonia Emergency Training Course'. This course had been a dream of AIRAH's (and mine) for some time and, as I said in my first column as President back in January, getting the course up and running was one of my key priorities for my presidential year. The rationale behind the course is to give the participants a certificate of competency when handling ammonia emergency situations, so that they have the experience and authority to control an emergency situation that takes place at their plant.
