In Denmark the use of natural refrigerants in supermarket refrigeration systems is being demonstrated in two installations, one is running and one is being built. The objective of the project has been to demonstrate the use of natural refrigerants in supermarket refrigeration systems. At the same time to demonstrate that the energy consumption can be reduced slightly in this type of system seen in relation to the optimised systems, as these are known today. The price of such alternative system has moreover been assessed.
