摘要

This paper describes the analysis of NOx reduction mechanism and the problems regarding tribology under EGR conditions in a DI diesel engine. Image data of flame temperature can be obtained quickly by using a newly developed flame analyzing system. The contribution rates to NOx reduction have been clarified. Furthermore the contribution rates of the flame temperature and oxygen concentration were found to be of the same level, Regarding tribology, the wear of cylinder liners, piston rings, cam lobes and tappets are described including the oil deterioration.
