As you know, ARA is a member of the Partnership for Mercury-Free Vehicles (PMFV). Recently, the PMFV has been involved in an effort to get the automakers to the table. Last month, EPA hosted an all-day meeting involving representatives from the PMFV, five automakers, the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers, all of the key department heads at EPA and the Deputy Administrator, the steel industry, several State officials, and the foundries. ARA Government Affairs Committee Chairman Chuck Ossenkop was the only person allowed to call in. He and ARA EVP George Eliades represented the dismantlers.
