August Henningsen has been executive board chairman of Lufthansa Technik since 2001. Founded in 1994, the company is separate from Lufthansa German Airlines and specializes in aircraft maintenance, with a worldwide presence. Under its Total Support Services concept, the company offers customers a variety of maintenance products, with a play on the word "total." For example, the company recently launched its Total Material Operations (TMO) to complement its Total Technical Support (TTS), Total Component Support (TCS), Total Engine Support (TES), and Total Asset Support (TAS). With these five programs, Henningsen said, "We cover the range, from repair to exchange."
