European aerospace and defense giants EADS and Finmeccanica are seeing strong growth, but some trouble spots blur the outlook. During the first nine months of its fiscal year, EADS has enjoyed overall positive indicators, with net cash topping 4.7 billion euros ($5.5 billion), revenue up 9% year-on-year to 23.5 billion euros, and new orders for the period up 88% to 38.8 billion. Airbus (in which EADS holds an 80% stake) continues to drive the company's performance, with 370 deliveries likely this year and more than 400 set for next year, with EADS soon to boost its guidance on Airbus deliveries for 2006.
