Two of business aviation's more innovative operators are joining forces on a new venture linking city pairs in the Northeastern U.S., but it is a model that could be adopted elsewhere, including internationally. Wade Eyeriy (see photo), the entrepreneur who cofounded Surf Air in California in 2013, plans to launch a similar service on the East Coast called Beacon. There is no business connection between the two operations. Starting Sept. 15, the new company will fly nine roundtrip flights daily between Westchester County Airport, located 30 mi. north of Manhattan, and Boston's Logan International Airport.
