摘要

By March 2012, Malaysian low-cost carrier Air Asia plans to transfer its Kuala Lumpur operations and headquarters to a new low-cost-carrier terminal that will be built near the main terminal of the city's international airport. The new facility will be able to handle up to 30 million passengers a year, double the capacity of the existing site. Air Asia has secured 76 aircraft parking bays at the future terminal, about twice as many as it has now. The decision to pursue the project brings to an end an eight-year dispute between Air Asia and Malaysia Airports Holdings, which owns most of the country's key airports. The two had clashed over several issues, includ ing the terminal's design and facilities.
