Latin America's 6.6% projected growth rate will be second only to China for the world's commercial aviation traffic in the coming two decades, according to Boeing. Boeing's forecast, which links Mexico with nations in the Caribbean and Central and South America, projects orders for 1,730 airplanes worth $120 billion. That's only 4% of the world's deliveries between now and 2026, but will be well above the world's annual growth average of 4.9%, Michael Barnett, Boeing's marketing manager for the region, told the account for 80% of Latin America's sales.
