This fall, for the first time in nearly a decade, American Airlines will not be operating nonstop service between its Chicago O'Hare International hub and Beijing. The move frees up a Boeing 787-8 and some space at its most crowded U.S. gateway-assets American will put to work flying seasonal Hawaii nonstops.
