摘要

Russia expects to quickly wrap up its investigation into an Oct. 11 Soyuz rocket failure, which sent a U.S. astronaut and a Russian cosmonaut on a risky emergency landing 250 mi. downrange from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan and snarled International Space Station (ISS) staffing plans and operations."There was a point where we got to the apex of our trajectory and I looked out the window and saw the curve of the Earth out there and the blackness of space. It was a bittersweet, fleeting moment, knowing I got that close and it wasn't going to work out," NASA astronaut Nick Hague told reporters on Oct. 16. "What can you do? Sometimes you don't get a vote."
