Ever since Brexit became a possibility, aerospace has warned that remaining a member of the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) would be critical to keeping industry competitive and free of disruption. However, with the British government planning a clean break from the European regulator at the end of 2020—the end of the Brexit transition period—those warnings appear to have fallen on deaf ears.
