The Craic CR929 widebody airliner program has gained its first preliminary sales agreements, says consortium partner United Aircraft Corp. (UAC), which has also widened development schedule targets to allow for slippage from earlier dates. First delivery may now occur as late as 2027, according to UAC. That would be two years later than the timing that the Chinese partner in the program, Comac, mentioned in 2018. The statements on both orders and program timing, made by UAC President Yury Slyusar, seem to address differences from earlier opinions expressed by the two sides. In both respects, UAC has tended to be more conservative than Comac in its outlook. In its initial CR929-600 form, the aircraft is designed to fly 12,000 km (7,500 mi.) with 291 passengers in a two-class seating arrangement.
