THE BRITISH GOVERNMENT WILL generate a framework for UK space launch, covering everything from how a launch should be procured to the operation and licensing of spaceports and providing range-control services. The legislation will be bolted onto the UK's Space Industry Act, which became law in 2018 and, according to the government, enables the regulation of a wide range of commercial spaceflight technologies, including vertical-and air-launched vehicles, suborbital spaceplanes and balloons.
