European aerospace giants EADS and BAE Systems have essentially completed the formation of Airbus as an integrated company although a formal launch will not occur until late February. The entity will be a French company based in Toulouse where the headquarters of the existing Airbus Industrie consortium is based. The new company, operating under the name Airbus Co., is to be a societe par actions simplifiee under French law. EADS and BAE Systems, the Airbus shareholders, said that all the necessary conditions required to close the deal, including regulatory approvals, have been met. Agreement has also been reached on common decisions, including the future Airbus business plan.
