It Is hard to Imagine any early-aviation enthusiast that wouldn't know the Fokker D.Ⅶ. This well-known German World War Ⅰ front-line fighter was perhaps the most capable aircraft of the Great War. Designed by Reinhold Platz of Fokker Flugzeugwerke, more than 3,000 D.Ⅶs were produced by the second half of 1918. It was such an advanced design that the Armistice ending the war specifically required Germany to surrender all of its D.Ⅶs to the Allies.
