Like all WW I biplanes, the Sopwith Camel is a tail-dragger. However, it is relatively easy to take off from a grass runway if the grass is fairly short. Its takeoff roll is short enough, that even from a smooth-paved runway, the model is not overly demanding to keep on a straight heading. With the recommended power system and a fully charged battery, the Camel has spirited performance. STABILITY The Camel is a well-behaved biplane. It has a fairly long tail moment, so it's pitch-stable at most flight attitudes. The top wing is flat, but the bottom wing has enough dihedral to offer a fair amount of roll stability. TRACKING Like the other ElectriFly WW I fighters in the series, the Camel is a lot of fun to fly and it turns and maneuvers smoothly at the recommended control throw settings. It has a solid feel right down to the stall.
