The EC-135 has a coaxial, counter-rotating blade system that cancels out the rotational torque that makes hovering a conventional helicopter so difficult. The EC-135 is very stable, but the larger size also makes it an imposing presence for the living room pilot. Although an experienced pilot will have very little difficulty controlling the EC-135 in a confined space, flying in a larger room or outside on a calm day would be best. Because of its size and weight, the EC-135 can handle a little more wind than the average micro-heli, but don't overdo it. Anything more than a 5-7mph wind will see your pretty helicopter quickly blown away. After a 6 1/2 minute flight, the battery is really warm and the motors are too hot to touch. Adding a heat sink to each motor and waiting at least 20 minutes between flights will greatly prolong the life of your motors. Although I was only able to achieve an average 6 Vi minutes of flight time (well below the advertised 10 minutes), I found it to be adequate for practicing maneuvers.
