PaiLisp is a parallel Lisp language based on Scheme extended with a rich set of concurrency constructs, PaiLisp/MT is a multi-thread implementation of PaiLisp interpreter using P-threads on DEC70(X) with 6 Alpha processors, and it uses the Steal--Help Evaluatioin Strategy for efficient parallel evaluation of PaiLisp programs. In this study, first, we implemented PaiLisp/MT on Exemplar/X with 48 PA-RISC processors, using its unique thread library CPS-threads, and the system is called PaiLisp/EX. The garbage collection of PaiLisp/MT is a stop garbage collector based on mark-&-sweep. In PaiLispmX, we implemented a highly paralle1 garbage collection, to reduce the overhead incurred by the stop GC.
