Ashland Specialty Ingredients, a commercial unit of Ashland Inc., launched two new cellulose gum products — Aquacel GSA and Aquacel GSH — in response to the current guar shortage affecting the food and beverage industries. The new cellulose gums can be used to supplement or replace guar, offering cost-effective alternatives for beverage and dairy applications, the company says.
