Proposals for the design and construction of the Tappan Zee Bridge in New York State are due to be invited in the coming weeks from four teams which were on the shortlist announced as Bd&e went to press. The New York State Thruway Authority and the New York State Department of Transportation received statements of qualification from five design-build consortia, four of which were deemed to be suitably qualified following a thorough multi-agency technical review.
