The ultimate goal of a good substation design team hasn't changed much through the years. Designers strive to deliver accurate, effective design and material specifications to the field quickly and efficiently. While each substation will have its distinctive design and site needs, the steps in the design process are quite similar from one substation to the next thus making substation design conducive to automation.
