A healthy and successful smart grid will change how Americans think about electricity. Both energy companies and third-party investors are keen to provide resources to innovate and advance the current grid infrastructure, something that could eventually save the planet, save lives, and save the US economy. Leading protagonists from within the Utilities sector met this week in a closed door meeting to discuss various aspects of US' investment in the country's smart grid - from improving communications, battery power and longevity, grid technology, and advanced metering infrastructure.
