摘要

The objective of this study is to propose a global methodology for evaluating the eco-toxicological risks related to managing dredged sediments. Two scenarios, corresponding to a common means for handling these materials, are forwarded herein: deposit within a gravel pit immersed in water, and deposit on soil. The selected eco-toxicological tools were tested on three different sediments. Application of these tools to dredged materials is proposed in two main stages. The first consists in a simplified risk analysis, which stems from the chemical characterization of sediments and serves as the basis for deciding whether to pursue the second, more detailed evaluation stage. This first stage gives rise to the expression of a risk quotient that is compared to the detailed evaluation in order to verify the relevance of the thresholds chosen for the risk quotients.
