The Canadian Dairy Network Board of Directors met for the first time in its new boardroom on Tuesday, 26 March 1996 to discuss a full agenda. This follows the recent move of all CDN personnel and equipment from Ottawa to Suite 307 at 150 Research Lane in the University of Guelph Research Park. The first new item on the agenda was the report from the CDN Working Group created at the previous meeting with the mandate of working with the founding member organizations in identifying potential areas of structural streamlining and administrative rationalization. This report, which was circulated to the industry earlier this month, outlined six areas which require immediate action and the group identified a leader to be responsible for documenting action steps required along with timelines for each of these areas. The CDN Board acknowledged the importance of each area and is anxious to receive the draft reports for review at its next meeting scheduled for Thursday, 28 May, 1996.
