When starting in the dairy business, Wayne Clement recalls the challenge of finding anyone who would sell Jersey cattle. Today, Jerseys bearing the Way mar prefix can be found throughout Ontario, North America, and various countries with some finding the spotlight on the world Jersey stage. The Clement family, however, is not looking for fame or accolades but quietly pursues success each day at Waymar Jersey near Paris, Ontario. This century farm is the partnership of Wayne and Marion Clement. Their three sons, Mark, 28, Gary, 25, and Dean, 23, represent the fifth generation to work on the Brant County farm. Owning three farms, altogether, and renting two, the family works about 500 acres of land for pasture, hay and oats, grain, corn and cash crop, to support a herd of Jerseys that totals 200 head.
