Chicago-native Taylor Zitman was just 8 years old when she began sculpting. At age 15, she started her own business, selling her creations to local stores. Now 21 years old, the artist is a senior at Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind., where she is pursuing a bachelor's degree in telecommunications, with an emphasis in design and production, and media and society, and fine art.rnThe object of Zitman's sculptures? Among other subject matter, candy.rn"I enjoy taking something so colorful and universally loved and putting my own twist on it," says Zitman, for whom Reese's rnPeanut Butter Cups are a favorite treat. "Plus, candy is fun to sculpt! The textures, colors and shapes that are often associated with candy provide a huge variety of material that not only has a great aesthetic quality to it, but also is flexible enough to fit and be molded into my own individual styles."
