In February 2011 the Italian RadiciGroup, Bergamo, took over the synthetic staple fiber producer dorix GmbH, formerly Selbitzer Chemiefaser GmbH, Selbitz/Germany. The company is a producer of PA 6 staple fibers (dorix) and PP staple fibers (Reilen) with sales of € 10 million in 2010 and 43 employees. Willy Weiss is the business manager. This transaction will enable RadiciGroup -which is already engaged in the production of raw white and solution-dyed PA 6 staple fibers sold under the Radilon band name - to expand its product range to coarser titers up to 300 dtex and strengthen its market position.
