In an earlier paper, the authors reported the solid and liquid phase equilibria in mixtures of tetrachloromethane with oxygen-containing compounds. This note reports the solid and liquid phase equilibria for mixtures of tetrachloromethane with nitrogen-containing compounds. The solid intermolecular compound forms in mixture of tetrachloromethane with benzene, the intermolecular bonding in compound has been assumed to be charge transfer. The intermolecular compounds form easily in mixtures in which the electron density of the benzene ring has been increased in the presence of electron-excluding substituents in the ring. Their formation is difficult in mixtures in which the electron density of the benzene ring has been decreased in the presence of electron-withdrawing substituents in the ring. The solid intermolecular compounds also form in mixtures of tetrachloromethane with nitrogen-containing compounds, such as C_5H_7N-CCl_4. It is interesting to see if they form in mixtures of tetrachloromethanewith the compounds in which nitrogen atoms link with the benzene ring. So the authors measured the solid and liquid phase diagrams for tetrachloromethane + aniline, + N,N-dimethyl-aniline.
