Consider D itself as a metric space. Then for any give b∈B and positive integer N we can find an open neighborhood O_(bN) is contained in D of b, such that H(θ)>N for θ∈E∩O_(bN). Otherwise we can find some b_0∈B, a natural number N_0 and a sequence {b_n} is contained in E, such that b_n→b_0 and H(b_n)≤N_0 for all n≥1. By Fatou's Lemma we have H(b_0)≤N_0, contradicting (2). This proves the existence of O_(bN).
