When Earth Tech, Long Beach, Calif., acquired Rust Environment & Infrastructure (REI), Oak Brook, Ill., in September, the company's goal was to gain "expanded capabilities across all business lines." Less than a month after the acquisition, Earth Tech won three multimillion dollar contracts by drawing on the expertise of REI, as well as its own capabilities. The projects include an $11 million water treatment and streambed remediation contract for Southwire Co., Carrollton, Ga.
