In the headlong rush amongst Europe's major cities to come up with new environmentally friendly initiatives that might attract tourists, new businesses, or even just magazine headlines, this month it's the turn of the City of London Corporation - that unique organisation that looks after the streets of the Square Mile. With the aim of improving its green credentials, the Corporation has added six new Mercedes Econic low entry RCV chassis fitted with Geesink Norba 15m3 Hybrid MF (multi-fraction collection) compaction bodies. The new units enable a combination of waste and recyclables to be collected on the same pass.
