On 15 November 2010 the Government consulted on its proposals for changes to the planning application fees regime which, if implemented, would decentralise responsibility for setting fees to local authorities. The Government also proposed allowing authorities to charge for some of those applications which are currently free. A summary of those responses, which closed in January 2011, is now available, covering such questions as whether you agree that each local planning authority should be able to set its own (non-profit-making) planning application fee charges.
