When Chambers Waste Management decided to invest in its first new RCV chassis with a low-entry cab, the Mercedes Econic was seen as the obvious choice. "We wanted to buy a low-entry cab for health and safety reasons," explained Peter Chambers, the chairman and managing director of this Guildford, Surrey-based recycling and waste management company. "Getting in and out of the cab will be a lot easier for the crew with the Econic", he added. "There are a lot of Econics on the roads these days, and the product has been around long enough to prove itself on the job," he continued. "We see ourselves very much as a local business and as a result, we've heard some good things about Rossetts Commercials, the nearest Mercedes truck dealer, who will provide back-up."
