摘要

A New waste collection truck that will run on a mix of fuel made from landfill gas and diesel is to take to the streets of Kensington and Chelsea. Sita UK, in partnership with the Royal Borough, will be trialling the vehicle, which aims to reduce diesel consumption by up to 65 percent. The first of its type to be used to collect household recycling in the UK, it is also said to be up to three decibels quieter than a standard collection vehicle, while the compressed biomethane fuel will come from Sita's own landfill site in Surrey.
