Not for the first time UK businesses are coming under fire for not being aware of their environmental and waste management responsibilities in the face of new legislation. The new regulations requiring the pre-treatment of non-hazardous waste going to landfill, coming into force on 30 October, require all waste producers, landfill operators and waste carriers to comply but, according to some sources, the UK is once again under-prepared.
