To the Editor—Kwakman et al. [1] evaluated the efficacy of Revamil medical‐grade honey as a topical antimicrobial agent for prevention or treatment of infection, including those caused by multidrug‐resistant bacteria, and they proposed this natural product for the treatment of wound infections. Their article raises some questions about the use of natural products in modern medicine and about what can be learned from the medical practices of ancient centuries [1].
