摘要

Air covered yarn is the most popular yarn in stretchable garments. This yarn contains two components that is core and sheath. Elastic material is always covered with non-elastic yarn. Elastic properties of yarn depend upon on process parameters selected. In this paper, the effect of lycra denier and draw ratio on physical properties of Polyester/lycra ACY were studied. The results of yarn shown that the denier of air covered yarn, elongation, lycra content, shrinkage, dynamic elastic recovery and tensile energy of yarn increases with lycra denier. Increase in draw ratio shows increasing trend in elongation, shrinkage, nodes, dynamic elastic recovery and tensile energy of yarn, while decrease in ACY denier and lycra content.
