摘要

This paper will outline in a very basic sense some of the existing technology to recover and reuse or to minimise waste from the following textile chemicals: 1. Elvanol Polyvinyl Alcohol 2. Caustic 3. Indigo Dye Membrane separation systems are providing a good solution to the many problems a textile mill may be experiencing. Membranes can provide a solution in such areas as: color removal, BOD reduction, salt reduction and reuse, PVA recovery and reuse, and caustic clarification, to name a few. Water is an especially important commodity today, because reduction of water use brings reductions in the energy required to heat and the amounts of chemicals and dyes used. Textile companies often face shortage of water not only because of scarcity but also due to effluent discharge limits. So water saving is becoming important today.
