摘要

Digital printing is a relatively new style in the field of textile printing and has an immense potential to fulfil the demands of customers, designers and processors. With this first article in a series of review on digital printing, we are attempting to disseminate knowledge of digital printing to the textile processing fraternity. This series would dwell upon the basics of digital printing, developments in digital printing, role of printhead, importance of softwares, significance of pretreatments, etc. References would be given towards the end of the series.
