The Department of Fibres and Textile Processing Technology of the Institute of Chemical Technology(ICT), Matunga, Mumbai, on December 05, 2012, organised an International Conference TexSummit 2012 on the theme, 'Building a Sustainable Value Chain through Green Technology - Flourish or Perish' at the Bombay Convention and Exhibition Centre, Goregaon, Mumbai. This event was part of the India ITME exhibition being held on the same venue. The Convener of this Conference, Prof. (Dr.) M. D. Teli, a Professor at the Department and also an ex-Dean of ICT and former Head of the Textile Department, welcomed the dignitaries and explained the background of selection of the subject of sustainability and how the Conference unfolded.
